Brian Lewis has been a professional musician for over 35 years, encompassing a career as a guitarist, sideman, music director, songwriter and producer. After honing his abilities and gaining valuable experience playing in local blues and variety bands and in church, he became guitarist and Music Director for Street Sense recording artist Matt McKinney, recording and touring for several years in the early 1990s, under the tutelage of (and working with) legendary drummer Danny Seraphine, founding member of the band Chicago, and playing with Nashville session legends Dennis Holt (drums), Steppenwolf guitarist Larry Byrom, and long-time Garth Brooks/Dolly Parton/Trisha Yearwood fiddle player Jimmy Mattingly. He then moved into producing and songwriting, working with singer/songwriter Sharlena Thomas and recording and producing six albums with her. From 1995-2000 he was Music Director for Pathways Church in Denver, Colorado, and from 2000-2024 as Music Director and Associate Pastor at The Rising church in Arvada Colorado. In addition, he worked as a contributing writer for Guitar World magazine.

Brian earned his Master Certificate in Guitar from Berklee College Of Music, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and winning the Paul Simon Scholarship For Academic Excellence. He has had an active sideman and session career, appearing on more than 25 albums by various artists and several radio and television sessions. In 2011 he formed the jazz/rock trio The Rhythm Syndicate, which has held a continuing weekly residence at The Wild Game nightclub in Colorado for 10 years, and in 2015 formed the immensely popular and critically lauded Arena Rock All-Stars, who continue to perform note perfect renditions of the biggest hard rock hits of the 1980’s. In 2024 he formed the band Soul Fire, offering worship music services to churches in need of temporary or one time fill-in situations. He continues to be an active player with The Rhythm Syndicate, Arena Rock All-Stars and Soul Fire, and maintains a busy teaching schedule for select students.
